Former chairman of selectors Sandeep Patil said that Sachin Tendulkar could have been dropped from the team had he not decided to retire. Sachin retired on from ODIs in 2012.<br />Sandeep Patil has recently been succeeded by former India wicket keeper MSK Prasad.
